Yeah, it happened to us. Hi Hazen, it's David Hunt Coach of the presidio panthers UH Boys U15.

We moved up spring 2022 and lost all our matches. We were outsized, outplayed and run off most pitches. Some of our players didn't want to play the second half. We won all our rec games (except that last one against the Raptors/Orcas-remember?) played games at practice and thought we would compete at the next level.  After that season we lost our best players 3 or 4 wanted to quit and play rec again. Fortunately, (for us) 8th grade Rec had few teams and the ones left moved up.

This fall we trained harder and the players knew what to expect. We recruited 3 players (2starters) and the league changed.  Two out of three dominate teams left and a couple 2009 teams joined. We are 7-2 and are excited to play undefeated Goodsam this week.  Goodsam is a pure birth year  squad who is bigger, faster and older. It's a challenge these kids are now looking forward too!

Our team feels they belong is this UH and has really learned a lot about the game, more importantly they believe in themselves and their teammates.

Tell your players to concentrate on their strength, there bond as a team. Play together and anything can happen.
