SSUSA SF is coordinating with SFRPD to host watch parties that are next level from what we're used to. They're not just great city-sponsored events, they're city-sponsored events organized by soccer people, with a dual goal of building relationships around soccer and revitalizing downtown spaces. We're proud to be working with them and to help coordinate volunteers for the youth activity zone ... which is where you come in!
Youth Soccer Representation @ the Final: The vision is to have all the clubs in the City on stage pregame in a display of unity and community in our soccer-loving city. Every club is invited to have a representative in their gear with their logo. Schools with multiple teams, independent teams that have been playing together for years - this means you, too! More than just a photo op - it's also an opportunity for a safe, fun, central location to get families and teams together to watch the game.
In addition to non-soccer activities like face painting, arts and crafts and a juggler, the Kids Activity Zone will have an inflatable soccer pitch (75' long, about 4' high) for pick up games and space around for soccer activities. And they're still looking for some additional coaches to help staff this zone pregame and at halftime - Junior Coaches allowed!
Re: coaching - Watch Parties will be hosted by SSUSA for Quarterfinals, Semifinals and the Final - but coaches are only needed for the Quarterfinals and the Final.
Contact alex@streetsoccerusa.org if you or a (junior) coach from your team or club wants to help!
