Sun 8/18 is the 3rd Annual FOGGOLAZO!

SFYS is 25 this year and our FOGGOLAZO! event turns 3! My, how time flies!

What used to be a cool little preseason Summer Jamboree event to introduce incoming 2nd & 3rd Grade teams to the SF Youth Soccer game day experience as well as give newly trained youth referees real-life practice and mentoring is now one of the most fun local youth soccer events of the year: FOGGOLAZO! The name combines the spirit of San Francisco (Fog) with the love of soccer. You can almost hear the ringing of a Spanish la liga announcer screaming ¡Golazo! to emphasize the grandiosity of a goal just scored!

SFYS is hosting the Third Annual FOGGOLAZO! Community Soccer Day on Sunday, August 18, 2024 and is expecting 2,500 attendees throughout the day. Come join us! SFYS is looking for support from local businesses to further connect our community. There are a variety of ways to support this year’s FOGGOLAZO!:

• Donate an item that can be included in the FOGGOLAZO! Prize Giveaway (one of the highlights of last year’s FOGGOLAZO!)
• Be a FOGGOLAZO! Sponsor - click the link for the available sponsorship levels and benefits
• Join the fun! Connect with Scotty Kober, Executive Director (scotty@sfyouthsoccer.com) to design and/or underwrite an onsite activity
• Donate snacks, fruit, or non-alcoholic drinks for event participants and volunteers
• Donate to San Francisco Youth Soccer 25 Years of Service goals

All donations are fully tax-deductible and match-eligible. Donors will be recognized at FOGGOLAZO!, on the SFYS website and community portal, and in all FOGGOLAZO! communications. 

By supporting San Francisco Youth Soccer, you are contributing to the positive mental and physical health of kids and adolescents.  Research shows that youth sport has numerous benefits for children including higher self-esteem, lower rates of anxiety and depression, improved physical fitness, contributing to a team, building conflict resolution and problem solving skills… and much more!

• Come out and celebrate our 25th year of service at this epic Community Soccer Day, our annual fundraiser for SFYS Leadership & Equity Programming. Meet and play with the @Futboleros, participate in player challenges, spin the Earthquakes or Bay FC prize wheels, complete the soccer obstacle course, eat delicious local food …
