We are incredibly excited to share a special feature from U.S. Soccer’s YouTube channel highlighting our very own Senior Program Manager, David Reardon. One of the 3 stories captures David’s soccer journey—evolving from a player to a referee, an instructor, and now the coach of the Game Official Futbol Club (GOFC).
The U.S. Soccer crew caught up with David and his team during the final game of the Spring '26 season. It was the perfect moment to celebrate and thank the 20 graduating seniors across his two GOFC teams for their phenomenal impact on San Francisco Youth Soccer (SFYS).
Get a load of this stat: Since they started officiating in 2021, these player-referees have covered a staggering 2,240 games! From playing in 2nd grade all the way through 12th grade, SFYS is a lifelong community. We are so incredibly proud of David and grateful for everything GOFC does for youth soccer in San Francisco.
