Fall 2026 Season FAQ
-
I don’t understand the Ankored compliance piece. Help!
- Access to our compliance platform partner - Ankored.com - is provided by invitation and is sent to the person who registered the player (a parent/guardian) or coach (themself). If you cannot find your invitation, please contact the organization so it can be resent.
-
What do families need to complete in Ankored.com?
- After accepting the Ankored invitation, families will be prompted to upload birthdate documentation for their player(s).
- *We mistakenly indicated that a photo was needed in Ankored. This has likely now been made an optional step.
-
Can coaches see player compliance status?
- Coaches do not generally view player status directly in the same way families view their own accounts. Team compliance information is shared through our new team dashboards, and those dashboards are available to the person who registered the team. If you have multiple admins on a team who would like access to the dashboards, please email us at info@sfyouthsoccer.com.
-
What is required for STAR volunteers?
- Teams are expected to have a STAR-certified adult on record and should notify the organization regarding who that person is. Check out the STAR pathways here. The STAR on record is not required to serve as the Game Day STAR at every game. If needed, another willing adult may be able to step into the role on game day.
- If you have someone who can serve as the Game Day STAR, and needs a refresher or hasn’t been trained, please direct them to this helpful slide deck.
-
Do STAR or related trainings need to be repeated?
- If field training was already completed by your STAR, it does not need to be redone. Online STAR/PENSRA completion updates are received automatically from the training system.
-
Are CPR and AED training required?
- CPR and AED training was discussed as a new requirement beginning in 2027 due to California requirements.
-
Where can families and coaches find season resources and updates?
- You can find the pre-season Coach meeting slide deck here. You can also find a host of resources on our website:
Game Day Hub | Coach | Manager | STAR | Families | The Sideline Project
-
Are game rules the same for every age group?
- No. Some game rules vary by age group and details can be found in our League Rules.
-
Where can I find the playoff schedule?
- Playoff schedules are still being finalized, and will be posted on our website when complete.
