Team Admin Compliance and Ankored

What you need to know about your licenses & certifications moving forward

To all Team Admins (Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Managers),

 

We are grateful for your participation in SFYS Fall Soccer — we truly appreciate your commitment and support.

 

As you know, we made several platform updates last season, which delayed the launch of Ankored for administrative compliance. We are now able to move forward with Ankored.com for all compliance notifications to team admins and coaches. Here’s what this means for you.

 

Ankored will now store all information related to coach and team admin clearance requirements and will notify you of any upcoming expiration dates that may affect your ability to coach or manage your team. 

 

When logging into your U.S. Soccer profile, Coaches and Team Managers should see certifications for Safesport, Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments (ISHPE), and the JDP-issued background check (if applicable). Additionally, Coaches will see their current coaching license(s). All of this information will also be stored in Ankored.com and visible in your Ankored profile. Note: Live Scan information is not kept in U.S. Soccer, but will be visible in Ankored.

 

For many years, SFYS has used the SAY RSI background check tool. RSI has now been sunsetted. Anyone previously cleared through RSI will remain cleared until their current expiration date, at which point they will be prompted to complete a JDP background check through U.S. Soccer.

 

What this means for you:

  • If you were already cleared through SAY RSI: You do not need to take any action at this time.
  • If you are a new coach: You will complete U.S. Soccer’s JDP background check moving forward.

We are also working with Ankored to display RSI expiration dates directly within that platform for anyone who still has an active RSI clearance.

 

Some of you may have received an email indicating an “incomplete clearance” and asking for you to upload your SAY background check. You do not need to do this. We are working with Ankored to resolve this error. Please do not take any action on incomplete clearances at this time.
