Silent Saturday and Sunday.
Thank you everyone for participating in Silent Saturday and Sunday this weekend. It was awesome to see how the coaches and kids adapted. We implemented a silent weekend to re-emphasize that the game is about having fun and letting children play. We also want to support coaches who want to give their players a chance to play totally on their own and remind supporters that kids can play very well on their own with limited instruction. We hope your kids had as much fun with silent weekend as we did and we look forward to another fun silent weekend in the future.
Not all apps are created equal.
Many teams prefer to use apps other than Sqwad to communicate with parents (ex. TeamSnap).
- Remember, Sqwad is our official app. It has all the features of apps like TeamSnap as well as your live schedule so you don't miss a game. Most importantly, since it verifies insurance coverage and risk management compliance, it determines who appears on the printed game day photo roster.
- To avoid roster issues on game day make sure your player is registered with your team and cleared on Sqwad. Don’t forget to print and bring your Game Day Photo Roster!
- If you need help ensuring your player is ready on game day, we are available at info@sfyouthsoccer.com.
- Guest players must also be added before game day to ensure they show up on your roster. If you are looking for guest players or have questions please check out our community portal post or contact us at info@sfyouthsoccer.com.
In other news…
Sunday, while teams were (silently, except for the players 😉) on the pitch, our Grassroots-licensed Referee, Coach and Referee Assignor David Reardon completed his latest certification to become an official US Soccer Referee Mentor!
