Coach licensing: relaxed requirements!
Fully online licensing for new coaches
We've been hearing you for many years - the required field training portion of getting your coach license can provide a hardship. Good news! This will no longer be required beginning in Fall 2025. For those who want to become a licensed coach, you'll need to complete the following:
- US Soccer's Grassroots Coach Course
- Safety training (Safe Sport, Introduction to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments)
- RSI Background Check
- LiveScan Fingerprinting
And that's it!
