Ankored: what, why and how?

Parents of new SFYS players,

SFYS is using Ankored to verify player birth dates and documents, something we have been doing internally for many years. For any family who needs their player's date of birth (DOB) document verified, you will receive (or have already received) an email directly from Ankored. From there, you will be able to log into Ankored.com and upload a profile photo and government issued birth date documentation. You will get a confirmation message when this is complete.

If you started this process, but did not complete it, you can go directly to Ankored.com and log in and follow the prompts. 

We've received several questions about why SFYS is using this service and we wanted to take a moment to answer those questions. 

Here are a few key points about how your data is kept safe and secure on the Ankored platform:

• Encrypted storage: All documents are encrypted using industry-standard methods so only authorized individuals can access them.

• Restricted access: Only verified and trusted staff can view sensitive data, and all access is logged and monitored.

• Continuous monitoring: Our systems are actively monitored for any suspicious or unusual activity.

• Vetted personnel: All Ankored employees undergo background checks and receive training on handling sensitive information.

• Data retention limits: We retain documents only for as long as necessary, then delete them securely.

• Regulatory compliance: We comply with strict security standards like HIPAA and SOC 2, which are trusted in the healthcare and technology industries.

• Proactive notifications: If any security incident were to occur, we are required to notify affected users immediately.
