Takeaways from the Project Play Summit 2025

Recently, some of our staff attended the Aspen Institute's Project Play Summit 2025 in Berkeley. We made many connections, met like-minded people from around the country and heard numerous speakers discuss data-driven and innovative ways to keep kids active! I was inspired by the sheer number of organizations, groups, and individuals working towards a shared goal to make youth sports better. If you don't know, the Project Play Summit is the nation’s premier gathering of leaders building healthy children and communities through sports.
Here are some resources that Hazen (SFYS HR and Admin Coordinator) discovered while attending:
How to Coach Kids and How to Coach Girls (National Council of Youth Sports)
Playing to Win by Michael Lewis (available in audio book format only, on Audible)
MoveYourBodyCalmYourMind.org (California's youth wellness initiative)
Hazen loves connecting people - and connecting with people - and sharing resources. If you have a resource (or 3) to share, please post here!
